  1. Marilou was one of the kindest, most generous people I ever knew. She was such a blessing showing Christian love to everyone she met. Her life was a testimony to her faith in her Savior Jesus Christ. Being kind came easy for her. That was indicative to who she was. She never complained about all that she had to go through during her battles with cancer. She was such an inspiration to me. She treasured every day she lived and being with her family was of utmost importance. She would readily share info about all her Grandchildren. She was so proud of them. She was always smiling. Her different hair styles through her cancer treatments were something she would comment on in a humorous way. I just loved being around her. She was one who was able to lift the spirits of those around her even though she was the one who was going through difficult times. She was a true servant of her Lord. I will miss her a lot. Marilou, what a blessing your presence in Heaven must be to those who have gone before you.

  2. I extend sincere condolences to you, Bill, and to your family on behalf of the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey. May the comfort of our resurrection hope fill you all, especially on the days when her chair seems most empty….

  3. Marilou… what to say… She was thoughtful, she was kind, she was beautiful inside and out, she was funny, she was generous with her home, resources, time and love… Marilou gave herself to others like she had a million lives to spare. Just like so many, she helped me go through some difficult moments and critical decisions. With just one word or a scripture, she could turn your life around. That wisdom was such a beautiful gift. She truly loved like Jesus loves. Always willing to give what was needed, whatever that looked like, at the drop of a hat. She had the amazing ability to care for others more than herself. I will miss her. I love her. She was like a mom to me and I will treasure those memories forever. Until I see you again my friend, my spiritual mom, my crocheting, junk food, movie watching buddy. xoxoxo

  4. This was such a tribute to a beautiful person. She and Bill have been our backyard neighbors and I look out my kitchen window I miss her everyday. We joked about me always watching out for her house and once while visiting Brians family she notified that there would be visitors at their home and it was ok. She was always a sweet person who let you know of her love for the Lord. I will miss her visits over my garden fence, her stopping as she went by my yard when I was our front and sometimes our front porch visits. She told me she did not like to cook but boy she shared good recipes and actually brought some dishes to me after I had surgery. I can tell by all of the comments that she will NEVER be forgotten.Prayers for all of her family
